Great chair, difficult assembly May 16, 2008 This is a great chair, especially for its price. It's very comfortable, seems sturdy (I got it yesterday, but I'm sure it will last for years). It's bigger than I imagined from the picture. It fit through my door, but only just. Also, I'm 5'4", and my feet don't touch the ground while in it, so I'd suggest a foot stool if you don't like your feet to dangle while sitting. However, the assembly was a bit frustrating. I'm no handyman by any stretch of the imagination, but it was more difficult than I expected -- but not impossible. I'd suggest having a drill (though if you don't already, don't go out to get one before getting the chair!). The pre-drilled holes for the screws were too shallow, and the wood in places too hard to use a screwdriver only. While trying to drill two holes deeper, two of my drill bits got stuck, and then broke in two. So now I have two halves drill bits left in my chair... Luckily it was a cheap drill that I don't use often! The instructions are also pretty bad. The pictures are tiny and poorly printed, so you have to use some trial-and-error. But they're not impossible to follow.

The chair arrived in good shape. The only difficulty was the assembly. The instructions aren't very clear, but with some patience the chair came together and looks great on the deck.

GREAT Chair for the price! October 20, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I looked high and low for some affordable rockers, and finally found these. I was scared they'd be cheap because of the price, but I was very impressed with the quality when they arrived. Very nice construction, easy assembly, even sturdy hardware included.
They are very comfortable, and when I'm sitting on my front porch rocking, my neighbors pass by and comment on how beautiful the chairs are. They can't believe the price, either.
