Amazon.com Review
This 12-inch skillet fast becomes a stovetop favorite as it is versatile enough to use for a variety of preparations and large enough to cook portions for the whole family in one pan. The high, 2-1/4-inch sides on this pan contain more of the splatter, making it an excellent choice for messy undertakings, such as frying homemade chicken nuggets or cooking a round of burgers. As part of Revere?s Polished Aluminum Nonstick line of cookware, this skillet has a high-quality nonstick coating on its interior so chefs should not need to use as much fat when cooking or exert much effort when cleaning it up. The exterior is constructed of polished aluminum, which is quick to heat and transfers heat evenly for superb browning. The phenolic handle stays cool on the stovetop and is oven-safe up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. A ring in the end of the handle makes it easy to hang this skillet on a potrack for easy access. This cookware works well on both gas and electric ranges and is covered under a five-year limited replacement warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

2 out of 5 stars Not what it used to be   June 18, 2008
I ordered this skillet even with the mixed reviews because I loved the previous one I have had for more than 10 years. This one is definitely not going to last that long. After one dinner use, the handle is already loose. It feels very flimsy compared to my old one. I will use it until it falls apart but I won't be replacing it with another one. This was such a disappointment. I just hope the teflon coating is not going to come apart as quickly as the handle. The teflon coating was the problem with my old one & I had to replace it. I am not getting any more w/teflon coatings & am sticking with the ss versions.

5 out of 5 stars Seems like a good pan.   January 12, 2008
For the price I think it is a nice pan. Stuff cleans off of it really well and it is light weight but not cheap feeling. The directions say not to put it in the dishwasher, but we do anyway and it seems fine.

4 out of 5 stars Decent for the money   July 15, 2007
The other inhabitants of my household sometimes need to get a clue about how to treat teflon. As a result, I don't like to spend lots of money on something I know will get ruined. I feel this pan was a good compromise on price and quality. It's held up relatively well. I've had it for a few years now. On the plus side, it cooks things very well. The pan is thick enough that it distributes heat evenly, so I don't get burned spots or warping. On the minus side, as with any teflon pan, the coating resents abuse. The pan survived its trip through the dishwasher relatively intact, although the external aluminum surface was dulled. The coating eventually developed scratches after someone decided to start piling silverware into it during kitchen cleanups. The pan survived this treatment longer than most would have, but eventually it succumbed.

I absolutely love this pan! It is big and deep and no matter what you want to cook in a non-stick skillet, this one does the trick.
