1 out of 5 stars Does Not Last Very Long   March 11, 2008

Not recommended. I bought the 12-inch Joyce Chen Peking Pan just over a year ago, and was initially pleased with its performance for stir-frying smaller amounts of food and easy clean-up. However, after about 6 months of use, the non-stick coating began to degrade. At first, I noticed that the there were little "bubbles" in the coating. Then the bubbles in the non-stick coating disintegrated, and the bottom of the pan became pitted where it is in direct contact with the heating element on the stove. Great...bits of non-stick coating in my food! I used non-scratch wooden and plastic utensils at all times, so my conclusion is that some quality control is lacking here. For the price paid, I expected this pan to last a lot longer than 6 months.

5 out of 5 stars Magnificent   June 8, 2007

After fooling around with cheap Wal-mart cooking sets I decided I needed something that wouldn't fall apart after a few uses. An Amazon gift certificate led me here, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I've used this wok to cook everything imaginable in the past 6 months. As a single guy it's practically the only piece of cookware I need. Cleaning it's incredibly easy, so it's always ready for its next use. And you'll be reaching for it often.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Product   February 25, 2006
This stove-top wok by Joyce Chen is just an excellent product - quality through and through. Couldn't be happier, so in addition to my own, I bought one each for my two daughters.

5 out of 5 stars Used every day!   January 8, 2006

I bought this pan about 6 years ago. I have used it almost every day making stir fry, soup, spaghetti, sauces, searing meat, EVERYTHING! It heats up fast, and the non-stick surface is almost indestructable. It's the perfect size for doing just about everything. As for the previous comment about the weight, it's 2mm steel alloy. It's actually lighter then most of the cast iron wok's I've used. And if cleaned immediately after every use, I've never had a problem with the non-stick surface. This is a fantastic pan!

1 out of 5 stars It's a waste of money   June 7, 2004

This stir fry pan is quite heavy, need a strong mustle to use. The non-stick coat get sticky after we used it for less than a month. Ours has been sitting in dust forever. It's too new to be thrown away, but too painful to use it.
