Product Description The high-quality Contemporary Nonstick collection is a popular Professional Nonstick II line with conveniences such as versatile vessel shape and long handles that stay cool on the stovetop. Rounded interior edges and a flared opening ease access during food preparation and clean-up. The heavy-gauge anodized aluminum construction provides excellent conductivity and even heat distribution while the riveted, steel handle securely holds with ergonomically-designed comfort. Appropriate for both stovetop and oven use, the pan safely withstands temperatures up to 450 degrees F.

review AFTER an YEAR of use July 21, 2008 Initially, it was truly a wonderful frying pan, as reviewed by all. Within 1 year though, the entire non-stick surface is gone. Few things I followed for this whole year: (a) Only hand-washed, now only (since coating gone) I dish-wash the same (b) Never used metal spoons, spatulas, etc. Nevertheless, the coating initially started developing scratches, now it's just rough and coarse all over. Anyone having this should follow I guess ALL the precautions, i.e. (a) Never use anything metallic (c) Never stack with other utensils on top (c) Never use high heat to cook (d) Never put in dishwasher (e) Never clean while hot, must let it cool first. I believe the coating is good, but very thin to have worn out this fast.
nonstick came off March 7, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this pan just over a year ago. Already the nonstick coating has started to peel off. I am very careful both with the use and care of this pan (it has never seen the inside of the dishwasher). I'm extremely disappointed with this pan. I'm sure that if I send it back to Calphalon under the warranty they'll find a way to deny my claim for a replacement so I'm not going to bother.
Love it, but not at this price February 21, 2008 For this price (or less with a coupon) you can get an 8 AND a 10 inch pan from BB&B or even Macy's
Love it! January 14, 2008 I researched and asked for this pan for Christmas last year (2006) and have to say that it is by the far the best piece of kitchen equipment I've added to my life since... maybe ever! I just love it. Its non-stick qualities make it so easy to cook everything. It has worked so well for me that I've tried to return the favor by following the directions for its "care" (hand-washing; not stacking with other pots; etc) and 1 year later its still GREAT. Highly recommended!
Nonstick Omelet Pan December 31, 2007 This is a very good heavy weight nonstick omelet pan. If you use your pan frequently, I find the most non stick coatings only last 1-2 years, even on the best quality pan. I just try to find pans that are not overly expensive and then replace them.
