Durable, handsomely finished in matte charcoal gray, and known for its exceptional heat distribution and retention properties, hard-anodized cookware is a very popular choice for the home chef. KitchenAid embellishes these pots with stainless-steel handles, riveted for strength and wrapped with cushy, stay-cool silicone grips. The lids, made of break-resistant glass for optimum viewing, also feature silicone-wrapped handles, highly arched to enable easy grasping with a potholder or oven mitt. This is a good set of pans I like the clear lids, the set is much heavier than most similar sets. The rubber handles are nice they haven't gotten hot to the touch as of yet. Over all I prefer cast iron but this is the best set of aluminum I have used. The handles are riveted on in a sturdy fashion. I would recommend this set for people with a family and kids that do the dishes easy clean up and they haven't bent when dropped on the floor. The only room for improvement I can see would be to make the pans a bit thicker on the sides for durability but like I said above we haven't bent them yet and they have hit the floor several times already.

I puchased the cookware for my wife. I did alot of research to find an affordable hard anodized set of professional grade cookware. Hands down this one is the best value. More importantly my wife loves her new cookware. They are sturdy, heat evenly, and the insulated handles make cooking pleasurable. Buying from Amazon made the process of pleasing my wife inexpensive, and hassle free. Thank you for that as well.

This cookware is the best! You can cook healty becasue you don't need to use any oils. When you are done cooking all you have to do is wipe it clean. Will buy again for myself and as gifts!
A great set of cookware March 25, 2008
My wife and I just purchased this 12pc set of KitchenAid cookware, and our first impressions are great! They heat up quickly and distribute the heat better than our older cookware. The nonstick surface has been great so far, very easy to clean. As mentioned in other reviews the lids are thicker than usual due to the handle design and take more storage room. And, like any good quality nonstick pans, you shouldn't put them in the dishwasher.
