Amazon.com Review Enhance your existing Chef's Classic set with this versatile, 12-inch everyday pan, or give it as a gift to someone whose kitchen space is limited. You can cook practically anything in this superb specialty piece. Simmer soup, fry chicken, stir-fry vegetables, cook pancakes, and even bake casseroles. The two loop-style, riveted stainless-steel handles make the shape more compact for fitting in an oven, and the domed glass lid conveniently lets you monitor what's cooking. Chef's Classic cookware handsomely serves at the table, too. Cuisinart constructs this pan of hard-anodized aluminum, which is even stronger than stainless steel, with an encapsulated pure aluminum core for quick, even heating. The interior features Cuisinart's Quantanium nonstick finish, a high-quality, long-lasting finish internally reinforced with titanium. Little oil or butter is needed when cooking on this ultra-smooth surface, and low to medium heat is recommended, along with non-metal utensils. The piece is oven-safe to 500 degrees F and should be washed only by hand. Cuisinart covers this pan with a lifetime limited warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

Perfect pan December 1, 2008 A great price for a perfect pan: not too heavy, stay=cool handles, oven proof. Now I can make apple pancakes just like Original Pancake.
Best bang for the buck November 30, 2008 When we renovated our kitchen, I wanted to treat myself to new pots and pans. But they had to be hardworking, non-stick (and non-Teflon) and provide even heat on a gas stove. This set proved itself right off the bat, and continues to do the job well over 2 years later. I clean them in the dishwasher (despite recommendations to wash by hand) and haven't had any problems. I would definitely get this cookware again if I had to do over.
Excellent pan for stove and oven November 23, 2008 We bought this pan about two months ago and use it almost every day. The nonstick coating is wonderful and food literally slides around inside the pan - even eggs with little or no oil.
I thought I would miss having a long handle to grab onto, but after using it for over a month I must say the two handle arrangement is great. You can lift it easily with two hands when it's full of heavy things like fried potatoes or spaghetti and it fits easily into the oven.
The glass lid is a really nice feature, as it allows you to see what you're cooking. The handles on the pan and the lid get warm, but not hot when cooking on the stovetop. Obviously, you need to use a mitt if you put the pan in the oven. Both the pan and lid are a breeze to clean also.
Overall, I can't think of a negative aspect of this pan/lid combo. I'd buy it again in a second!
Don't waste you're money November 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the worst nonstick hard anodized pan I've ever owned. I have an Analon Titanium 8 in. skillet and Calphalon 12 in. hard anodized skillet, which are much better. I've also had Silverstone that's better than this pan. This pan is very tinny and thin, over heats easily on even low-med heat on an electric stove, the handles are thin, the lid is ill-fitting and way too heavy for the weight of the pan, and the metal surrounding the lid is curved inward and hard to get clean. I own a Cuisinart Multiclad Pro stainless set, which is excellent, and I wanted to try this before I spent more on the Multiclad Pro nonstick skillets. I'm really surprised at the low quality. I'm glad I tried it, now I know it's junk. Cuisinart should be ashamed of themselves for putting their name on it.
Great for big cooking November 16, 2008 Bought this to accommodate family meals when everyone is here (8 of us)and I am not just cooking for 2. Well made and love the lid. I'd buy it again. Great as a wok and all-in-one dinners.
