| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review From Cuisinart's Chef's Classic series comes this handsome, durable cookware with triple-layer construction. The exterior is hard-anodized aluminum, which is even stronger than stainless steel, with an encapsulated pure aluminum core for quick, even heating. The interiors of the pots and pans feature Cuisinart's Quantanium nonstick finish, a high-quality, long-lasting finish internally reinforced with titanium. Little oil or butter is needed when cooking on this ultra-smooth surface, and low to medium heat is recommended, along with non-metal utensils. All the lids are break-resistant glass, and handles are pure stainless steel, riveted for strength. Every piece is oven-safe to 500 degrees F. Cuisinart puts together all the most commonly used pots and pans in this gift-worthy 12-piece set. Three covered saucepans hold 1-1/2, 2, and 3 quarts, perfect for those everyday tasks such as warming soup, cooking rice, or steaming vegetables. The 8- and 10-inch skillets slide out perfect French toast and pancakes, not to mention eggs over easy with bacon. Use the wide 3-1/2-quart covered saute pan for frying chicken or braising beef, and the covered 8-quart stockpot for big batches of pasta, chili, and hearty soups. Cleanup is easy, just a quick wash by hand takes care of any food residue. Hard-anodized cookware is best kept out of the dishwasher. Cuisinart covers the cookware set with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. --Ann Bieri What's in the Box 12-piece cookware set. Do not buy this cookware September 3, 2008 Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 10-Piece Cookware Set w/ Kuhn Rikon Utensil Bundle
Used these pots for 6 months, non-stick coating already coming off. Had T-Fal for over 12 years with no problem. I have to send the bad pots to Cuisinart, and they make a determination if I deserve a replacement. I will send them, but in the meantime I will be shopping for new T-Fal. Don't buy these!
Great value. August 9, 2008 I would recommend this set to anyone that is trying to improve their kitchen a little without spending too much. It's a basic set of cookware, but is a great set of basic cookware. The quality is pretty remarkable for what I paid and I've been having a blast in the kitchen since they arrived!
LOVE IT! August 2, 2008 I'm a big fan of The Food Network, & I cook dinner about 5 or 6 nights a week. I bought this cookware set a few weeks ago after doing quite a bit of research online and at a local Bed Bath & Beyond. This is a very good quality cookware set for a fair price. It's heavy enough to feel solid, but not so heavy that the pots & pans are difficult to handle. Also, the pots & pans are very easy to clean, & they look great!
Great general use non-stick cookware May 28, 2008 This was my first set of cookware, and I put a lot of thought into the purchase. Overall I've been nothing but pleased with this set. The handles do not get hot at all, they're very sturdy, and easy to clean. You do need to learn to work the temperature a bit to get the non-stick just right: too much heat and you'll get a bit of stick.
I'm just your average person cooking and this set has filled my needs extremely well. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the edges of the pots and pans have a tendency to chip. I actually sent back my first set because it chipped so easily and quickly (Amazon was a dream about the exchange.). The second set has chipped here and there as well. Just tiny chips on the edges, but I can't give it 5 stars because of it.
I got a great price over the holidays and it was money incredibly well spent. You can feel confident buying these.
Great for the money February 9, 2008 I've been using this set of cookware for a month now. I have been very pleased. They heat evenly and look great. I couldn't be happier. The only small draw back is, the bolts that attached the handles take a little more time to clean. Great buy!
