Each piece also features cool grip handles that provide a safe grip.

Amazon.com Review
From KitchenAid's Gourmet Essentials line comes this cookware set made of hard-anodized aluminum. Durable, handsomely finished in matte charcoal gray, and known for its exceptional heat distribution and retention properties, hard-anodized cookware is a very popular choice for the home chef. KitchenAid embellishes these pots with stainless-steel handles, riveted for strength and wrapped with cushy, stay-cool silicone grips. The lids, made of break-resistant glass for optimum viewing, also feature silicone-wrapped handles, highly arched to enable easy grasping with a potholder or oven mitt. Both the pans and lids are oven-safe up to 400 degrees F.

An excellent value, this 10-piece set consists of the most frequently used kitchen pots and pans and makes a great gift set. The two skillets, measuring 8 and 10 inches in diameter, handle everyday frying and sauteing needs, from eggs-over-easy to grilled cheese sandwiches to fish filets, then crepes for dessert. Three saucepans holding 1, 2, and 3 quarts let you boil a single egg, heat soup, and slow-cook a creamy risotto with wild mushrooms. The larger 6-quart stockpot with two loop handles works admirably for family-sized batches of pasta, chili, soup, and corn-on-the-cob. The nonstick finish releases food quickly and makes clean up by hand a snap. It's best to keep the nonstick cookware out of the dishwasher. KitchenAid covers the set with a one-year, hassle-free replacement warranty. --Ann Bieri

This product is excellent. No sticking, burning, warping, etc. Worth the money-seems like they will hold up well.

5 out of 5 stars Great Cookware All Around   August 8, 2008

I love this set. My husband loves this set. We aren't gourmet chefs by any means, but this makes it easier to cook without all of our food sticking to the pans. We wash dishes by hand anyway, so this isn't anymore difficult to care for than our old pots and pans. My only wish is for lids to fit the pans. Everything else was pefect. Love it, would recommend it to anyone that cooks on a regular basis. We got it when it was down to 99.99, so watch for sales.

5 out of 5 stars Great Value   August 7, 2008
I bought this as my starter cookware set. I've had it for over a month and so far everything is great. The nonstick coating works well with no oil (as it should). It also heats evenly so you're not having to rotate food around the pan. I only wish it came with a 12" frying pan.

4 out of 5 stars Great product for great price   August 4, 2008
The overall set is fine but it would be nice to have some extra options like boiling vegitables. The lids does not have pressure pin, which would be better to control overflow to ovens etc. The frying pan is not very deep for frys.

Overall it is good for small family

5 out of 5 stars Great!!!   August 2, 2008
I was way over due for a cookware set. This is the set that i ended up purchasing, I love it so much, so far. I found the price very resonable for a new set, i also didnt want to spend to much money. All perfect sizes for many different size meals, nonstick aspect works great, the handle grip is wonderful, very sturdy, i see this set lasting me a very long time.
