Amazon.com Review
Handsomely designed with contemporary straight sides, deep charcoal gray exteriors, and shiny stainless trim, Anolon Advanced cookware has another reason it's so sought-after: it cooks beautifully. Constructed of hard-anodized aluminum that's even more durable than stainless steel, the cookware retains and distributes heat efficiently with no hotspots. The cookware is also coated inside and out with DuPont's high-quality, three-layer Autograph nonstick finish to keep food from sticking and scorching. Moreover, Anolon gives the cookware 18/10 stainless-steel handles with cushy silicone rubber grips for a cool, secure grasp. Break-resistant glass lids let you monitor cooking progress without losing flavor or nutrients. All the lids and knobs are oven-safe up to 400 degrees F, so you can start a dish on the stovetop, and finish it in the oven.

Everything a home chef needs to handle everyday cooking requirements is included in this 12-piece Anolon Advanced set. With their glass lids, the saucepans in 2-, 3-, and 4-quart sizes always come in handy for whisking sauces, heating soups, cooking rice, boiling potatoes, and plenty more. Two skillets, 8-and 10-inch, turn out perfect crepes, pancakes, and eggs. The large 10-quart stockpot slowly simmers chili and stew or boils a big batch of pasta. Finally, the 12-inch-wide, 5-quart shallow saute pan with its helper handle tackles stir-fries, chicken and rice dishes, and deep-dish apple turnovers with aplomb. Thanks to the nonstick finish, the cookware easily washes clean by hand. Anolon covers the set with a lifetime limited warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

5 out of 5 stars Great Cookwear set!   December 1, 2008
I purchased this set because it was highly rated and I haven't been let down. Don't use metal utensils on the cookware and avoid cooking sprays- butter and oil work perfectly if needed. It's very sturdy, comfortable, and heats evenly- well worth the money.

5 out of 5 stars Analon pan set   October 24, 2008
Very happy with this set. I bought a different set 6 months ago and every time I bumped it on something the black on the outside left a white spot. Does not happen on these.

5 out of 5 stars Superb Cookware for all Skill Levels   October 14, 2008
I've had the Analon Advanced cookware for over a year and it is incredible cookware for many reasons. I originally thought about several other brands but found a great deal on an Analon Advanced 5 1/2 qt saucier and decided to give it a whirl. I had never heard of Analon before but I was so impressed with the pan I purchased the 12 piece set. I did lots of research and read many studies about the harmful effects of cooking with teflon coated cookware. I personally have seen friends burn up teflon coated pans and have seen the smoke rise. But I noticed the only time this happens is when people have the burner on HI. I never cook above Med HI and have never hand a problem with any of my Analon Advanced cookware or seen smoke rise or tasted an off taste. I am able to do most of my cooking at Med heat for several reasons. Aluminum is typically a bad conductor of heat, but the hard anodizing process makes it more dense and therefore the pan heats up very quickly and very evenly and thus not needing the high heat to warm up the pan. The lids are incredible because they keep heat and moisture in and therefore the food stays moist and cooks quickly on Med heat. The clear lids are awesome and are great for draining off excess grease, water, etc. The rubber handles on the pans pots and lids are great and work excellent. You'll never need to hold these pieces with a towel. Absolutely nothing sticks to these pots and pans, or lids. Cleanup is quick and easy. Here are some recommendations, keep in mind this applies to ALL nonstick cookware not just the Analon Advanced: Only use plastic (or wooden) cooking utinsels. Metal will destroy any nonstick pan. Never place them in the dishwasher. Do not cook much above medium heat. Clean the pans when they are cool or slightly warm, don't throw them straight from the stove into dish water. Use a soft sponge and non abrasive dish soap (palm oil based is great) when washing them. Follow these tips and they'll last forever. I can't brag enough how nothing sticks to these pans. I've cooked rice, pasta, eggs, cheesy dishes, etc and was able to wipe out whatever was left in the pan with a paper town after the pan cooled every time. I've never had to scrub. Here's the coolest thing about the pans, they're great to learn on. Because nothing sticks to them it is very hard to scorch food in them, especially at medium heat. I suggest getting a thermometer and testing meat temps at different times and different heats as this will help you get the "feel" for when meat is done. Don't burn yourself doing this! Be careful not to gouge the pan with the thermometer tip either. I've scraped mine a few times doing this but the Analon Advanced pan never showed marks. They're made very well and take abuse very well but don't go looking for trouble. This is the most forgiving cookware I've ever used. If you can't afford the set, get the saucier (doesn't come in the set in case you decide on the set later). It is rounded on the sides and flat on the bottom, has a lid, is big and perfect for anything. It is still my workhorse and I cook eggs, chicken marsala, chicken scaloppini, spaghetti, hamburgers, etc in it for 5 people all the time. My sisters have cookware from the two main competitors of Analon Advanced and we all agree that the Analon Advanced is the best. The sizes, designs, durability, and rubber handles on the lids, pans, and pots make it superior to all the other brands. The design is very logic and well thought out. And its nonstick capability is bar none above all the others. My sisters still scrub on their pots when I've never had to. Hope this helps, send me a message if you have a detailed question and I'd be happy to answer it. Thanks.

5 out of 5 stars Quality Product and Great Price   September 15, 2008
I have been very pleased with my Anolon Advanced Cookware! I searched several websites and stores and Amazon offered the lowest price. It arrived on time. I love the way it is easy to wash and I love the way it cooks. The only thing that I don't like is that it takes a while to heat up and you can't use high heat. But, it's very heavy duty quality cookware. I'm sure I will get many years worth of use out of it!

3 out of 5 stars Nice cookware, but starting to peel   September 14, 2008
2 out of 2 found this review helpful

We got this cookware a little less than a year ago. It is really great to use, and the padded handles are very comfortable and stay cool. The 8 inch skillet unfortunately is already showing signs of peeling the nonstick coating, and things are sticking badly. Although we do follow the care instructions, we do use this pan at least once and sometimes twice a day, but I would have wanted the coating to last at least a little longer.
