This 10-in. tempered glass lid is designed for the Calphalon ONE Nonstick line and will fit the 10-in. Omelette and Everyday pan as well as the 5-qt. Saucier, 3-qt. Saut?? and 4-qt Chefs pans. However many of the Calphalon pans share the same diameter so these lids can be used with other Calphalon lines: Professional Hard Anodized, Commercial Hard Anodized, Professional Nonstick, Commercial Nonstick and Professional Nonstick II.

 Good choice August 22, 2008
I don't know why skillets are sold without lids -- but they often are. This solves the problem more than adequately. It's extremely sturdy, with a nicely grooved edge that seals tightly. In addition, there is the obvious advantage of its being transparent. Pricey, perhaps, but I believe worth it.

We bought a Calphalon set in the 'Kitchen Essentials' line from a big box retailer. The Kitchen Essentials set is stainless steel, and did not come with a lid for the 10-inch skillet. We looked at various generic alternatives from specialty stores but could not find a good match for quality and appearance. This lid from Calphalon is designed for a different line, but matches the Kitchen Essentials fairly well. The finish is unpolished bare metal with a clear glass center. The rim is tapered so that it will fit onto pots and skillets with slightly different diameters.

What a great lid! It is heavy enough to prevent the steam from escaping the pan. I have two Calphalon 10" pans without lids. I bought one for my nonstick and it fits perfectly. Tried it out on my Tri-ply Stainless 10" pan and it also fits perfectly even though Amazon states the lid fits the nonstick collections only. I have to buy another.

I ordered this for my calphalon one nonstick 10" fry pan, fits perfectly. I recommend ordering this, as you never know when you will want a lid for your pan!

Too bad the original pans did not come with a lid, but this is the PERFECT fit. And, you can even see what you are cooking!
