Every home bartender needs a set like this one. Completely made of stainless steel, the elegantly designed set includes a brushed-finish ice bucket that holds one quart of ice, along with a polished stand that keeps six bartending tools at the ready. The tools consist of a pair of toothy tongs, stirring rod, bottle opener, cocktail whisk, bar knife, and double jigger. Cute Bar Set June 4, 2008
This bar set has all the basic things that you need. It's not overly fancy, but is pretty. I'm happy with the purchase and my friends have gotten the same one.

I should have read the reviews before buying it because someone else does mention it, but it does not come in a normal package, a package that I would expect to give someone as a gift. It comes in a cardboard box with every utensil attached to a cardboard square with a billion twisty ties. Now I have to keep it and buy the cocktail shaker that it doesn't come with it.

The folks at Pinzon have a good product here. Now if they wanted a FANFREAKINTASTIC product they could try these upgrades. The key word of the day is ERGONOMICS. It should be applied to EVERY item in the set. With that in mind, here goes. The ICE BUCKET SHOULD BE INSULATED W/ A SECURE, SEALED TOP. Hell, if the Polar Cap is melting what chance does ice in an open bucket have ? Hey, maybe insulation is a cure for Global Warming. Uh, We'll tackle that topic some other time. Next, the KNIFE SHOULD ACTUALLY HAVE A SHARP EDGE. Mercy on the souls of the fruit I butchered using that glorified butter knife ! Finally, throw in a matching, insulated COCKTAIL SHAKER and you've created a Better Barware Set D.B. style. BTW, The folks at Pinzon may contact me regarding any generous financial consideration for this and any future ideas for their products. ;-)

This set was ok for the $15 I paid for it. The stainless steel look is nice for the bar. The stainless steel is heavy enough not to look cheap, but having bought other Pinzon items I was expecting even better quality. I've bought a similar set from other retailers for $10-15 as gift but without the bucket. The included bucket is the size of a big tumbler (or 1/2 G icecream carton), so it's not very useful. It's designed more like a holder for the bar utensils than a real ice bucket.
The jigger and the bottle opener are nice and heavy. The included knife seems pretty useless as it's not really designed to cut anything. The tongs are light, I've seen better ones but do the job fine. The strainer and shaker are ok too, nothing spectacular about them.
You can hook a little strip over the bucket and store all the items in the slots. This item looks nice on the bar, but on second thoughts I should have given it away as a gift rather than keeping it for myself, as I'll only use a couple of the items in it. Be aware that the item does not come in gift packaging. It has no fancy box just the plain carton, which was one of the reasons I ended up keeping it for myself.

This barware set came in a very well-protected box, keeping the items in great shape. In fact, I got out the wire cutters to snip all of the heavy-duty twist ties keeping the pieces in place.
They washed up great, look very nice in the ice bucket/container, and are clearly very well made. There is a nice heft to the pieces and you can tell they will last a long time. I'm very pleased with the purchase and think this would make a nice addition to any bar, as a gift or to keep for yourself.
