Amazon.com Review
When you pull lovingly made baked goods from the oven, be sure you find consistent, golden crusts; level surfaces; and thoroughly cooked interiors by using professional, heavyweight metal bakeware, such as this versatile Chicago Metallic Professional round cake pan. Guaranteed to distribute heat evenly, this pan features rolled rims and superior construction to ensure it stays level--no warping or buckling when hot. The bonded, nonstick surface makes for easy release of baked goods and fast, carefree cleanup, and the rich, dark gray surface will get even darker with age. Because it readily retains heat, consider lowering your oven temperature 25 degrees to prevent overbrowning delicate creations. Treat this one right--don't cut on the surface and scrub only with a nylon cleaning pad and soap--and you'll never buy another cake pan again. --Marianne Painter

5 out of 5 stars Chicago Metallic-expensive but they are the best.   July 26, 2008
It is not necessary to buy expensive bakeware to bake great cakes and muffins. But if you want great results, and you want to have real quality tools to bake with too, you should strongly consider purchasing Chicago metallic products. Chicago Metallic's design engineers know what they are doing. And let's face it, the total cost of 4 or 5 pieces of "expensive" bakeware is still very cheap. It's just so nice to work with top of the line tools. And these pans will last you a lifetime. If you enjoy baking and want to treat yourself to the best, these pans are worth their premium price tag.

5 out of 5 stars Smooth & Sturdy   July 12, 2008
I love to bake and these cake pans are the best I've found so far. Very sturdy and although the finish is not a true teflon like slippery release, a spray of Pam or Cake Release does the trick.

I'm always impressed with any pan I've bought from Chicago Metallic and these are no exception. I would recommend trying any of their products.

This pan is great. I was able to turn the cakes out with no sticking. They browned evenly. Heavy pans, not flimsy.

4 out of 5 stars Great pans for the money   December 5, 2007

I ordered these pans basd on recommendations of other reviewers from Amazon. I would agree with one reviewer who said "almost crubless texture". They do indeed conduct the heat very well. I have used these pans twice already and the pans are somewhat nonstick - I had some slight issue with sticking. In terms of decreasing baking temp, it all depends on where you live and how accurate your oven temp is. My oven temp is off a bit so is drop the temp 10 degrees. My only complaint is I would like to see a version of pan that is 3 inches deep! Will certainly by other products from Chicago Metalic!!
