Amazon.com Review
This cookware from Cuisinart's Chef's Classic series incorporates both the classic good looks of gleaming stainless steel with the ease of an interior nonstick finish. Not just any nonstick, this finish is Quantanium, a high-quality, long-lasting finish internally reinforced with titanium. Little or no oil is needed for cooking on this ultra-smooth surface, and low to medium heat is recommended, along with non-metal utensils. An aluminum core encapsulated in the base conducts heat quickly and evenly without hotspots. All the lids are break-resistant glass, and the handles are also stainless steel, riveted for strength. Every piece is oven-safe to 500 degrees F and dishwasher-safe.

This 12-piece set of commonly used pots and pans makes a great starter set for the home chef. The three saucepans, holding 1, 2, and 3 quarts, take care of most boiling, warming, and steaming needs; the 8- and 10-inch skillets turn out perfect eggs, pancakes, and browned sausage; the 3-quart covered saute pan is a good size for stir-fried vegetables, fried chicken, or braised beef; and the ever-popular 8-quart stockpot feeds the whole family with soup, chili, or corn-on-the-cob. All but the skillets come with lids. While dishwasher-safe, washing nonstick cookware by hand is recommended. Cuisinart covers the set with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. --Ann Bieri

4 out of 5 stars I enjoy cooking in these   October 4, 2008
I've had them for over a month and I absolutely love them. The inside coating is great and NOTHING sticks to it ... Of course it does when you leave it at high to burn but even that comes off easy! I'm a first time cook and so I'm new to cooking and I think I've got myself professional cookware ... these pans make me want to cook, which is something I never thought I'd say!! I also love the outside silver coating ... makes them look contemporary. Overall great buy and great deal. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I wish the glass lids had the small hole for air/pressure that my old Faberware had ... while cooking when I remove the lids there is a lot of steam build up and it wets the surrounding area and the counter ... I then have to wipe off the water. I tried leaving the lid a little open instead of completely inserting the lid on the pan but it did the same thing. If anyone has a trick to overcome this issue then please let me know in comments.

4 out of 5 stars Very Handy   October 1, 2008
This set replaced a set of 27 year old cast aluminum, which I received as a wedding gift. The non-stick surface is great, and they are very attractive on the outside. The only issue i have is storing the glass lids. You can't really stack them, and i have a potential avalanche everytime i open my pot cabinet door. Other than that, they're great.

3 out of 5 stars Kind of overprice!   September 25, 2008
Material seems light, cheap and very flimsy, but the set is functional. The glass cover material is not bad. For the price of over a hundred dollar, any non-stick sets from Costco have better quality than this.

5 out of 5 stars Great Set for Starting Cook   September 18, 2008
I recently began to live on my own and I bought these pots so that I can cook my own meals. The pots are excellent and distribute heat evenly. The nonstick surface makes them easy to clean and the stainless steel makes them look real nice. Things to note is that the pots heat up really quickly and using more than medium heat will likely result in burning your food, but if you just keep the heat low you should be fine. Also the stainless steel can develop a tint to it so it needs to be cleaned.

4 out of 5 stars Great Value, Dishwasher-Safe Nonstick   September 7, 2008
The nonstick surface seems strong and has made it through the dishwasher unscathed in the first month. The pans heat quickly and evenly. I love the clear tops. A couple of the tops also fit the frying pans. The handles stay fairly cool. It seems this is sold exclusively through Amazon.com. The box from Cuisinart even says Amazon. The set is not listed on the Cuisinart web site.
