Very Pleased with this item. October 15, 2008 Only had a few weeks but so far my daughter and I really like this wok. Everything is as described.
Great Wok September 30, 2008 Great item. This is just wok I expected, and it works very well both on the stove and on the grill.
Excellent Wok September 8, 2008 This is by far the best wok I have owned. Large bottom base stays on burner easily and heavy carbon steel makes is very durable.
A lot of work, but worth it! September 4, 2007 It took some effort to get the wok seasoned and it does require more care than the normal non-stick pans that I'm used to, (ie drying the pan on the stove instead of w/ a dish towel, oiling the pan before storing it away).
I have used it a few times for stir-fry meals now. The food was great and the wok was fun to use. I have not had any problems with rusting like some of the other reviewers suggest. I think that you just have to season the pan correctly. I used my gas stove to do this. I think this may be very dificult to do w/ other types of stoves. I did have problems seasoning the parts of the wok where the handles were connected to the bowl. I did not get the nice, smooth, black patina, that I was able to achieve on the other interior regions of the pan.
Wok Heaven September 1, 2007 This Wok rocks! It seasons well, heats fast and hot the way a good restauraunt wok does to get the fry into your Stir Fry's. Main handle stays cool extra front handle seems to get a little warmer than I would like, but it doesn't get used very often. We could never get the heat into our stirfrys with a nonstick pan. I swear the teflon acts like an insulator to keep heat from your food. This Wok is all business. Try it, you'll never look back.
