I would not know about my last purchase because I was sent the wrong item. The purchase order in the box was correct but, the item was wrong. Then, my hausband threw out the box, not knowing I got the wrong thing. So, I am stuck with the cast iron preseasoned 14" Joyce Chen Wok of which I had never even seen until I opened my box. The whole point was that I wanted the lid and wood handles. Didn't get either one. I looked up sending it back but, it really seemed too much trouble and then of course, my husband had tossed the box without me knowing. So, not real happy. I ordered the wok in the picture with the clear lid and wooden handles. I don't know why I got the cast iron wok. The picture that came along with your message asking me to do this review is what I ordered, not what you sent me. Don't know if I will be doing anymore shopping with results like this.

Joyce Chen 14-Inch Pre-seasoned Cast Iron Flat Bottom Wok/ THIS IS A GOOD SIZE WOK FOR OUR FAMILY WHICH CONSIST OF 2/ I USE IT FOR MANY OF MY RECEIPES. I LOVE CAST IRON PRODUCTS, THIS ONE IS EXCEPTIONAL A/C OF IT IS "PRE-SEANSONED".
BUT THE PICTURE AD & DISCRIPTION IS DECIEVING. IT SHOWS THE WOK WITH A LID AND CHERRY WOOD HANDLES. IT DOES NOT SAY THAT YOU HAVE TO ORDER THESE ITEMS. YOU ONLY RECEIVE THE THE WOK ITSELF.

Picture is deceiving. Wok does not look at all like pictured. No clear glass lid, no wooden handles. The handles are short and cast iron also. They get pretty hot after being on the stove for more 5-10 minutes. Wok is good that it's quite solid but you'll need a hand with a potholder to hold on to it as you're stir-frying. For a $60 wok, I would expect there to at least be a lid, and accessories like a steamer rack and deep frying side rack or a metal spatula.

Hello all amazon users,
First person to review this item leaves a so-so favorable impression. The image is deceiving as you do not get a glass lid with the wok. Handles are not wooden but rather 2 stubby iron wings that you grab on to. Other than that, this sucker is heavy. Good in the send that when you are actually stir frying your stuff, you are not moving the wok around. The base is pretty thick so heat will be uniformly dispersed. What you pay for is what you get, I can't complain. Add on the 25 off 125 purchase so it's a good deal.
