Amazon.com Review
This versatile cookware set from Cuisinart comprises a roomy 8-quart stockpot that?s perfect for soups and pasta, 3-quart and 1-1/2-quart saucepans, and a 10-inch skillet. The stockpot and saucepans come with tempered glass covers, designed to seal in flavor without hiding the food from view.

Each piece is made from durable hard-anodized aluminum that heats up quickly without hot spots, and each is lined with an advanced Quantanium nonstick coating. Quantanium is designed for healthy low-fat cooking, allowing even delicate foods like fish to be cooked without sticking. Every pan cleans up quickly and easily, and is tough enough for use with metal utensils, giving years of trouble-free service. The securely riveted stay-cool steel handles on each pan are oven-safe to 500 degrees F, so food can be browned on the stovetop then transferred to the oven to finish cooking. Together, the four pans in this set will handle almost any everyday cooking task, making them ideal for setting up a new kitchen or replacing older cookware. --Simon Leake

5 out of 5 stars Excellent value for the $   September 7, 2008
I bought this for a friend as a house-warming gift and she was quite taken by the product. They've been working great for her so far. Easy to care for, very good non-stick qualities and they give her kitchen a good look.

This is the second cuisinart cookware set i have purchased from Amazon. The first i bought for my home and have been satisfied beyond my expectations. I bought the second 7 piece set for my travel trailor and again cannot begin to describe how wonderful they are to use.......TERRY THURMAN

3 out of 5 stars Good For The Money......But   November 10, 2005

I have had this set for about a month and have had a chance to use them enough to have an opinion. They are well balanced and perform well, especially the sauce pans and stock pot. The 8 quart stock pot is large enough for a family of 4-6. Cuisinart advertises you can use metal utensils, but when you read their recommended use card, it says metal utensil will scratch the surface. That is a misleading marketing gimmick in my opinion.

My main complaint with the Cuisinart cookware is they heat up very quickly due to the thin 3 mm thickness. The fry pans are the weakest items of the set. After side-by-side comparisons against Emeril's All-Clad Hard Anodized, I much prefer the Emeril brand. The Emeril pans are 5 mm thick and seem to cook more evenly and are not near as temper-mental as the Cuisinarts.

For not much more money, I would look at the higher quality Emeril Hard Anodized set; and sorry Amazon, the best deals for Emerilware are using one of those 20% off coupons at Bed Bath and Beyond or Linens N Things.

4 out of 5 stars Great but not perfect   October 6, 2005

As always, you will never find a perfect cookware. This Cuisinart 7 piece is no exception. It is great but not perfect. Its light weight is very impresive and handle isn't that hot after long period of cooking time. Easy to clean. The non-stick surface is better than other brand. It takes very short time to heat up stuff too. However, couple weaknesses, the lit does not have a small hole to release pressure which we have to watch out for overheat spill. Plus the lit is not the same design as the pot itself, it heats up really quick. So be careful. It is not a good idea to buy plastic handle with the lit, it will deform and loose after a while. Over all, it is better than what I expected even though I have owned this set of cookware for 4 weeks.
