Product Description When it comes to cooking, you'll never be caught empty-handed with this complete set of classic nonstick cookware. 17-pieces with brilliant mirror-polished exteriors feature Quantanium nonstick surfaces, reinforced with titanium to ensure lasting food release and easy, hassle-free clean-up. Aluminum encapsulated bases heat quickly and evenly, cooking food to perfection. Cool Grip(tm) riveted handles and drip-free rims guarantee safe and easy handling. Limited lifetime warranty.
Amazon.com Review From Cuisinart's Chef's Classic series comes this handsome, durable cookware with triple-layer construction. The exterior is hard-anodized aluminum, which is even stronger than stainless steel, with an encapsulated pure aluminum core for quick, even heating. The interiors of the pots and pans feature Cuisinart's Quantanium nonstick finish, a high-quality, long-lasting finish internally reinforced with titanium. Little oil or butter is needed when cooking on this ultra-smooth surface, and low to medium heat is recommended, along with non-metal utensils. All the lids are break-resistant glass, and handles are pure stainless steel, riveted for strength. Every piece is oven-safe to 500 degrees F. Cuisinart puts together all the most commonly used pots and pans in this comprehensive 17-piece set. Three covered saucepans hold 1-1/2, 2, and 3 quarts, perfect for those everyday tasks such as warming soup, cooking rice, or steaming vegetables. The 8- and 10-inch skillets slide out perfect French toast and pancakes, not to mention eggs over easy with bacon. Use the covered 12-inch skillet or 4-quart covered saute pan, both with helper handles, for stir-fried vegetables, sauteed seafood, or braised beef. The covered 9-quart stockpot is perfect for big batches of chili and hearty soups. Two bonus items are the all-purpose covered steamer and deeper pasta insert that fit the stockpot and do away with having to use a colander for draining. Cleanup is easy, just a quick wash by hand takes care of any food residue. Nonstick, hard-anodized cookware is best kept out of the dishwasher. Cuisinart covers this gift-worthy cookware set with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. --Ann Bieri What's in the Box 17-piece cookware set. Perfect November 17, 2008 I bought this as a gift for myself. I did a lot of research and price checking. I love my new set and I think it's the best thing ever. I read some of the reviews of people complaining that the handles get hot, that's what hot mitts are for. I use cast iron too, so I'm used to it. I don't even see that to be a problem. My son is 10 and I let him use the small pan to make omelets. He loves them too. Great product. Great value.
katching! August 30, 2008 We bought this product for $100 with free super saver shipping. I also had my friend buy one. She saw a similar set selling for over $800. Wow!!!!!! They came in perfect condition and are beautiful. My husband is especially pleased. Do not pass up!
What a joy! August 18, 2008 I've been using this products for nearly a year, and they're awesome. I seriously can't recommend them highly enough to anyone. They are totally non-stick and they seem to spread the heat around very evenly.
They really are a fantastic product.
Great value and excellent product! July 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I researched a lot of different sets before I decided on this one and I love it! I've had it for about a month now and I've had no problems. The set, including lids, actually takes up LESS SPACE then the mishmash assortment of pots, pans, lids, steamers, colanders etc that were being replaced. The bin that I had been using to hold lids worked perfectly to hold the lids for the set.
As for cooking, I've found that the Hard Anondized Alum. conducts heat much faster then the SS set that I had been using previously. I've definately had to lower the heat settings that I use. I can now get water up to a boil in no time. I had almost been ready to call in a repair service because it used to take almost 15 minutes to get water to boil for pasta. Now, a bigger pot is at a boil in less than 5.
The clear lids are great! I can check on foods without losing any of the heat.
I love this cookware July 21, 2008 I really am happy with these pots and pans. Cuisinart is a very reputable brand so I was sure they would be great. They come with a lifetime guarantee if used properly. I shopped around for the anodized cookware and amount of pieces I got for the price was the best. Each pan has it's own lid, and the set even comes with a veggie steamer insert and a pasta insert.Other places and websites I checked has the same pans but not as many pieces and were more money. I also would let you know that the only thing someone might not even like are the lids are harder to store because you can't nest them with each other. I have a big bottom cabinet to store them so for me it's not a big deal. They should be hand washed, but are so easy to clean. You should also use plastic or wood utensils. Nothing sticks to them. I got rid of ALL my other pots and pans.
