Product Description Achieve a perfect omelette that slides smoothly and quickly onto the plate. In 18/10 stainless steel with a pure aluminum core, the pan has a triple-coated nonstick interior that's easy to clean and releases foods effortlessly. With an ergonomically designed cool "V" handle and a flared rim for no-mess pouring. Oven safe to 450 degrees. Dishwasher safe. Lifetime warranty.
Amazon.com Review With aluminum cores enclosed by stainless-steel layers, Calphalon's Tri-Ply pots and pans deliver the best attributes of both metals. The aluminum cores conduct heat quickly and uniformly across the pots and pans' bottoms and all the way up their sides. The durable, 18/10 stainless-steel interiors and exteriors are easy to clean, resist scratching, denting, warping, and corrosion, and are nonreactive to acidic food. Some Tri-Ply items, like this 8-inch slope-sided pan, are coated inside with durable nonstick to readily release food. The pan is ideal for making omelets or for any sauteing or frying task, especially for delicate food like fish. Its handle stays cool on the stovetop and has a hanging hole, and the pan's rim is flared for dripless pouring. Tri-Ply cookware is polished to a mirror finish outside. To preserve the nonstick surface, this pan should be hand washed. It carries a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Versatile, even heat, easy cleanup, high quality! June 4, 2008
I own many Calphalon pans and all are either the stainless tri-ply or the nonstick stainless like this. I have the 8", 10" and 12" pans. These pans are made of the highest quality. The outside has a brilliant polished stainless luster and the inside a very high quality non-stick surface. I can make anything in these and clean up is a breeze. Burn stuff on it and it will practically come clean with a paper towel! It takes a quick wash with a soft cloth and it is done. Food never sticks. I use these almost everyday and have had no problems, the non-stick is just like new still. I never use metal utensils, only wood, plastic, or ideally silicone. Also, don't put them in the dishwasher, they clean easy and you risk etching them with the harsh chemicals in dishwasher detergent. Trust me, you can put them in the dishwasher, but they clean so easily you would be really protecting them if you don't. I have been using this pan now for 2 years and it is still like new even though I use it at least 3 times a week. Also, even though it has a metal handle, it stays cool. It will start to get hot if you cook on very high heat or for an extended period of time, but in most cases it stays cool to the touch and I don't need to employ a hot pad. A great pan for reasonable money!!
Small February 4, 2007 I give it 5 starts because it is a quality pan...it is just too small. I bought the 12 inch version also and am happy I did. Better to have too big a pan, but fits all my needs than a small one that can't do everything!
Love it - at the right price June 8, 2006 I picked this up on a special promotion for ~$20, and for that price it is unbeatable. Has held up for years of regular use & dishwasher cleaning. Be sure to get some soft spatulas with your first non-stick pan purchase...!
Loved and adored the omlet pan, BUT, the surface peeled off. June 2, 2003 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
This was the favorite of all my Calphalon non stick pans. It could go in the dishwasher safely, looked beautiful, cooked like a dream and was a perfect price. Everything was wonderful, but all of a sudden the non-stick coating gave up sticking to the surface and came peeling off, as if the adhesive had given up. It wasn't abused and I used the right utensils and never cooked with it on high heat. Now I have to return it to the manufacturer and the pan has been discontinued. What a pain!
The Best September 6, 2002 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I have a wide range of cookware. The Calphalon Tri-Ply stainless is the best I've found. Other stainless with an aluminum disk on the bottom only are the worst I've found. The non-stick on the Calphalon Tri-Ply is the best, and this little 8" is one of my favorite pans. So why only 4 stars? The handle could be a little larger, but my only real complaint is about the Tri-Ply line, in general. Although the Calphalon Tri-Ply is a much better value than All Clad, the line is so small (basically only omelette pans, sauce pans, and a stock pot), that this pan is the unmatched odd-ball since I had to go to other brands or lines for a wok, griddle, casserole, steamer, etc., etc. It's too bad, too. The All Clad stainless line is so much more comprehensive, but compare the price on this pan alone and the Tri-Ply is 1/4!
