Product Description
If you are drawn to the beauty of stainless steel, yet are reluctant to sacrifice the cooking efficiency of aluminum, you can now have the very best of both worlds. A mirror polish stainless steel exterior, a heavy gauge conductive aluminum filling, and a stainless steel interior coated with a non-stick surface form a disc. The disk is then formed into a pan shape, with walls and bottom of equal thickness, which allows heat to be conducted evenly. Glass lids allow you to monitor food and their domed design returns condensed moisture to foods. Stay cool handles feature an ergonomic design and secure attachment. Every household needs a couple of omelette pans, and at least one should be non-stick.

Amazon.com Review
With aluminum cores enclosed by stainless-steel layers, Calphalon's Tri-Ply pots and pans deliver the attributes of both metals. The aluminum cores conduct heat quickly and uniformly across the pots' and pans' bottoms and all the way up their sides. The durable, 18/10 stainless-steel interiors and exteriors are easy to clean, resist scratching, denting, warping, and corrosion, and are nonreactive to acidic food. Some Tri-Ply items, such as this 12-inch slope-sided pan, are coated inside with durable nonstick to readily release food. The pan is ideal for making omelets or for any sauteing or frying task, especially for delicate food like fish. The handle stays cool on the stovetop and has a hanging hole, and the pan's rim is flared for dripless pouring. Tri-Ply cookware is polished to a mirror finish outside. To preserve the nonstick, this pan should be hand washed. It carries a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

5 out of 5 stars Great Pan!   June 27, 2007

I bought this pan hoping it would be as nice as it looked. It was. It is not too heavy for me, I have arthritis. It cooks evenly and makes excellent omelets. The handle is attached very well and will never come loose. It is expensive but as always, find a sale and use coupons! Worth the money.

I have the other tri ply cookware, but wanted a non-stick version pan that was in the tri ply line. I love it! Go with the 12 inch if you are only going to get one non-stick pan as it will cover all your needs. Easy to clean and I love that it matches the tri-ply stainless pans I have- so they can all hang from the pot rack!

This skillet is wonderful. Very well balanced, even heating and extremely easy to clean. I love it and will buy the 10" at a later date.

5 out of 5 stars even cooking - easy cleaning   December 26, 2002

I tried the regular Calphalon tri-ply stainless steel saute pan and took it back. Too much work to clean and it was very heavy. Then I bought the nonstick tri-ply stainless steel omelet pan. It provided quick even cooking and is very easy to clean. Cheese sauces and eggs just glide off onto the plate and whatever residue is left is a breeze to clean. Also it is not as heavy as regular Calphalon pans. Furthermore, the handle does not get hot. I am now looking for more pieces. My old pots and pans were wedding presents from 39 years ago.
