Great Pan November 11, 2008 This pan will cook a flawless egg! So many non-stick pans now have a textured bottom to reduce scratching. Well, that may reduce scratching of the Teflon surface, but it makes cooking eggs a pain in the pan. We're really happy with the Calphalon and you will be too.
works great, no issues August 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I like the Contemporary Nonstick series from Calphalon because I have never had any success using the anodized type of pan, this is the more traditional non-stick and I am happy with it. I've had several of this series for over six months now and the surface is holding up fine, no deterioration so far. The design of the pan is good, the handle stays cool on the stovetop and you can put it in the oven because it is all metal. The weight is comfortable and the shape is stable on my gas cooktop.
review AFTER an YEAR of use July 21, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Initially, it was truly a wonderful frying pan, as reviewed by all. Within 1 year though, the entire non-stick surface is gone. Few things I followed for this whole year: (a) Only hand-washed, now only (since coating gone) I dish-wash the same (b) Never used metal spoons, spatulas, etc. Nevertheless, the coating initially started developing scratches, now it's just rough and coarse all over. Anyone having this should follow I guess ALL the precautions, i.e. (a) Never use anything metallic (c) Never stack with other utensils on top (c) Never use high heat to cook (d) Never put in dishwasher (e) Never clean while hot, must let it cool first. I believe the coating is good, but very thin to have worn out this fast.
nonstick came off March 7, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this pan just over a year ago. Already the nonstick coating has started to peel off. I am very careful both with the use and care of this pan (it has never seen the inside of the dishwasher). I'm extremely disappointed with this pan. I'm sure that if I send it back to Calphalon under the warranty they'll find a way to deny my claim for a replacement so I'm not going to bother.
Love it, but not at this price February 21, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
For this price (or less with a coupon) you can get an 8 AND a 10 inch pan from BB&B or even Macy's
