Excellent Knife Sharpener April 18, 2008

Just got my sharpener last week as a gift from my friend who is a chef in NYC. The soft belts don't burr or scratch my knife, and it simply blows away the much cheaper Chefs Choice in every way. It's very easy to use and the belts are cheap and easy to replace. I had asked atlantic shores equipment (www.shoresequipment.com) how long the belts last and they said around 400 passes. Not bad. I recommend this sharpener to anyone who wants to sharpen knives with professional results.
I also learned that this sharpener is IDENTICAL to Mastergrade(same manufacturer, different name) except much more reasonably priced. This is the best sharpener I've ever used.
