Excellent Sharpener September 6, 2008
This ridiculous looking thing lives in my kitchen drawer, from which I occasionally remove it and sharpen everything in sight. I've owned it for more than ten years, and it has served me well.
Keen-edged knives are easily sharpened to an edge approaching that of a razor. It only takes a couple minutes per knife to restore a dull edge, but don't allow your knife to get REALLY dull, as it will take many minutes to get it back in shape.
The ceramic rods are held at the correct sharpening angle, which makes it easy for a beginner. The plastic guard keeps your hand safe, but remember to put you thumb under it too! I really like this sharpener. It is a good value and a durable product.
