Perfect for Veggies December 2, 2008
I use this knife all the time for lettuce and other veggies. It keeps the edges from browning and is safer to use than a metal knife. Overall great buy.

I have had this knife for a couple of years and it is an invaluable tool in my kitchen. Not only is it wonderful to have a nylon knife for cutting lettuce (to avoid browning), but it is great for cutting into a nonstick pan.
For example, if you make lasagne, fudge, a 9x13" cake, or any one of a number of things that might be made in a nonstick baking pan and you need to cut portions right out of the pan. With your steel knives you will end up scratching the nonstick. With this knife you don't have to worry about that. Not only that, but it cuts quite well.
This knife is plenty large, as you can see from the dimensions listed, so you can actually cut across a pretty large pan and it is also long enough to hack right through a huge head of lettuce if need be.
It is made with OXO's usual high quality. You don't have/need to sharpen it either! :) It will last you a lifetime, in my opinion.

I didn't think this thing would be as big as it was! It's really long so even if you had the biggest head of lettuce ever it would be able to go all the way through the diameter. The teeth of the knife are really nice and sharp. I didn't think they would be since they were nylon. Of course it's not sharp enough to cut skin, but it will get through lettuce with ease. I was equally surprised by how sturdy it feels. I'm sure it will last a long, long time. I'm so glad I got one of these. Especially with Summer right around the corner and lots of salads to be eaten...this will come in handy.

I looked everywhere for these knives and so did two of my friends. It was so eassy to norder and the price was wonderful, I ordered one for me, and two for my friends.....we all love them. I am a new coustomer and was trying ro find a game I had purchased in the past and could not find anywhere.....guess what, I found it with AMAZON,COM and ordering the second time was easier then the first time. This was one of the best buys for the kitchen. I hate brown lettuce, and this makes sure it doesn't turn brown. You can't beat the price, either! I recommend this to everyone!!
