Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Excellent travel bag   July 6, 2007
Just purchased and used the Caddy Daddy Co-Pilot travel bag. I'm very pleased and recommend it. It combines the features of a standard golf bag with hard cover protection for those airplane trips. There are a lot of pockets for your stuff. The bag is a bit small, but I was able to get 14 clubs in with my oversize driver. You'll have to shift the clubs about some to get an arrangement which will allow the hard top to slip into place, but this took only a couple of minutes of trial and error.

The hard top fastens to the bag with 4 velcro straps. I believe the velcro straps are better than buckels as buckels protrude and can break. Yes, in time with many uses the velcro may wear out, but I don't see that as a problem. Seems to me you'd have to the the bag a lot for that to happen. The bag rolls easily and stands by itself. Total weight with my stuff in it was about 30 pounds, well under the airline 50 pound bag limit, but I don't carry tons of stuff (balls, tees, towel, the basics).

I purchased separately and recommend the cover for the travel bag. The cover is made of a heavy fabric and slips over the Caddy Daddy Co-Pilot, thus securing and protecting the entire contents of the travel bag. It fastens with a zipper and a velcro strap. The handle on the top of the hard cover is still accessible which allows you to roll the bag behind you. I purchased the cover directly from Caddy Daddy (went to their website)for about $20 including shipping.
