| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Continental proportions, substantial weight and a rectilinear design provide this pattern with a sense of solid dignity. It would work well in both traditional and contemporary settings and represents fine craftsmanship as well as outstanding value.
Amazon.com Review Classic elegance and simple style combine in this 65-piece Crescendo II stainless flatware set, equally suitable for formal occasions and the everyday table. Impress guests with this service for 12 at a buffet when entertaining or set at a family dinner of any size with the 5-piece place settings. The stately design features carved ridges along the length of the handles, banded at the neck for a finished touch. The matching hostess set of six pieces meets a range of serving needs with style. Crafted from heavyweight 18/10 stainless steel for corrosion-resistance and lasting luster, the dishwasher-safe set never requires polishing. The twelve five-piece place settings include a dinner knife and fork, salad fork, soup spoon, and teaspoon. The hostess set includes two serving spoons (one pierced), a cold meat fork, butter spreader, and lovely shell-shaped sugar spoon. A handsome wooden storage caddy provides partitions to separate pieces and features a framed edge for an attractive display. The larger Continental sizing offers a balanced heft that feels comfortable in the hand. This favorite pattern from the Legacy collection of Reed & Barton, America's premiere silversmiths since 1824, carries a 25-year warranty. --Roberta Cruger What's in the Box 12 place settings. 5 serving pieces. Lots of rust April 8, 2008 I have had my set for 3 months now and there is alot of rust on the tines of the forks and on the knives. Great price but I regret my purchase.
Reed & Barton Crescendo II Review March 18, 2008 I've ordered two Reed & Barton Crescendo II 18/10 Stainless Steel Flatware sets. They are high quality 18/10 stainless and arrived very well packed. This item is a beautiful and useful gift. I highly recommend this product.
Really 18/10 Stainless? February 5, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've looked at all the packaging and there is no reference anywhere to this set being 18/10 stainless. Maybe at one time, but don't you think they would say so if it really were 18/10? There is, however, "China" stamped on every single piece. I'm sorry I didn't buy flatware before every company sold their souls to the Chinese. Having said that, the set doesn't look that bad for the money.
Love this set! January 2, 2008 I was nervous about ordering a set of flatware on line without being able to see the product but was very happy when I received it. The flatware has a great, quality feel to it and you get a lot of bang for your buck. The wooden tray is a nice extra too. I highly recommend it!
fine flatware May 21, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
this flatware is really nice has a beautiful shine to it and is very heavy, you can mistake it for silver it has such a lovely finish to it, i have no idea how one reviewer could say this can rust , it is fine quality stainless i cannot believe it can rust as heavy as the pieces are. it is well worth the money.
