Received set in record time, kudos for that, unfortunately that's the only good thing about this flatware set. It was suprisingly flimsy, the whole service set bent easily. The pattern was not did not match up with the frosted part of the finish. (like it was painted outside the lines) I could have lived with that, but the spoons all had rough cut edges, I only ran my finger over them, but they were sharp enough to never want to put them near my mouth. I was really looking forward to this set, but they definitely are going back.
Not dishwasher friendly... September 13, 2008
I have owned this set for over two years now and can now say that they are indeed not as dishwasher friendly as everyone else claims.
Don't get me wrong, I purchased these at target, service for 4 at about 20 dollars... and at that price point they are great. I have 3 young children aged 2, 4 and 5 and this set is the perfect weight and size for them. The small spoons are a tad smaller than usual. Which is perfect for the kiddies but not an adult male with thick fingers.
I have not experienced any rust spots because of the dishwasher which is a major plus. The reason I say that they are not dishwasher friendly is because they look disgustingly dull. There is no sheen left whatsoever! I understand that they have a flat finish within the design; but after running them in the dishwasher they are scratched, scraped and just plain ugly.
Again.... they do what they need to do, but these are not flatware sets that you would want to pull out for company. Keep them for family & kid meals. They more than hold up to regular family use, just don't look pretty for long.

The silverware is gorgeous and the serving caddy is very classy-looking. I wash the silverware in my dishwasher and have seen no ill effects. I think this set is a very good value.

This flatware is very very nice. Having 16 spoons is handy. Well made (heavy) and priced right. A good deal for everyday or the special occasion.

I initially purchased this flatware for "special dinners", but found that it's just as durable for everyday use. Just beautiful. The pattern is lovely, yet subtle. I love it!!!!!!!! Now i wish i'd ordered two sets. And the box it came in is really nice, too. Actually, I think I WILL order another set!!!
