Love the set January 16, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I love this cookware. I have never had good pans like these before. Sure makes a difference in cooking and cooking time, even heating. Just one thing wrong. The holders on the lids gets very hot, need pot holders to get them off. Otherwise great pans.
Wonderful-ease cookware January 9, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought the set as a Christmas gift to the delight of my daughter who was using a mismatch of old cookware. The sizes are great for her family and the easy cleanup is valuable in a very busy home.
Better to buy cookware seen in person December 22, 2006 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
This is not a bad set, but, if I have seen it in a store I would have noticed problems I couldn't live with and would have passed it by. Pros: These are heavy pans that heat uniformly with a great tough non-stick interior. Cons: The pan handles are hollow and the metal tubes have a open seam on the bottom. They don't have a good solid balanced "feel" when picked up and I have caught my skin in the handle seam several times. The lid handles get hot so you need a pot holder to pick them up. The fry pans are shallower than others allowing food to spill over the sides. Food stubbornly sticks to the large rivets used to attach the pan to the handle. I gave them to my nephew who is just starting out and bought myself less expensive low-end stainless steel Calphalon pots and pans at Kohls. The Calphalon pans have a very nice thick rubber grip on both pan and lid handles.
Stick with stainless steel December 19, 2006 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
These pans seemed great when I first bought them. I followed all the instructions - soft soap, warm water, low heat, sponge clean, bought a whole new set of silicon scrapers so they would never see metal! A year later and I have to soak them for hours to get them clean. They stick like a steel pan, but you can't scrub them clean. I wouldn't mind if they had been a $20 solution (previously I have always bought cheap 'semi-disposable' non-stick pans), but at $100 and less than a year's use, this is a big disappointment. Now I am headed back to stainless steel.
Good Pans November 13, 2006 So far we have had the Anolon cookwear for 3.5 months and they are working great! Best pans I've ever had
