This was an excellent value on a very high quality item -- it's a wonderful addition to my starter set of Calphalon Contemporary cookware.

Picked this up after a recommendation from America's Test Kitchen. The price was unbelievably low for such a quality pan. The non-stick coating is very durable. The wide-mouth design makes for much easier work with polenta and sauce-making. Easier to get into the corners and the larger surface area makes for quicker heating and evaporation for reductions. A quick tap on the lid knocks off the condensation so you can check on rice without having to lose any heat/steam.

This saucepan was recommended by "America's Test Kitchen" and I must say I am very pleased with it.

I bought this to replace a worn 2 qt non-stick saucepan. I didn't realize when I ordered it that the shape was quite different, but it was a pleasant surprise. This is now my new favorite pan. It's very versatile. I use it for stir frying and nothing sticks.
Great Pan July 26, 2007
Nice size, nice shape, wonderful see through lid. I have been using it daily since I got it and it is great. Easy to clean and very versitile. I am thinking about buying the set.
