If you had just one pan this could be it. You can saute, fry, boil, etc and clean it in a flash. I love it!

This is my new favorite saucepan! It is very well made and great for many different dishes. I used it to cook rice and beans last night, have made small servings of soup in it, etc. Mine is exactly as pictured with glass lid, and is a great medium-large size. It is heavier than I expected, but feels very sturdy. Most of my other saucepans and pots are expensive ones by All Clad, however I much prefer this non-stick pan and you can't beat Amazon's price!!

My wife and I purchased a set of Calphalon pots/pans about 5 years ago. That set performed exceptionally well. Over the years, there are a few of the cookware pieces that are just plain wearing out. I began poking around looking for some replacement cookware pieces and came across this piece as well as some others. This series is by far the best bang for the buck. My wife uses this cookware for breakfast cooking as well as dinner cooking everyday. She likes the wieght distribution as well as the "lip" of the pans. The set cleans very easily albeit by hand however, if you have a sink of water to clean you stove top, table and counter tops then taking 2 more minutes to clean the cookware is not a prohibitive purchasing issue. I am waiting for the other pieces to go on sale at which time I'll buy them as well.

My daughter introduced me to these pans and skillets. They are so easy to clean after using them that even my husband comments how easy they are to wash and dry. I do not have a dishwasher so this an important factor for me. This new 2-1/2qt pan is very unique in that it can not only be used as a saucepan but a skillet if cooking for just the two of us, such as frying meat or doing stirfry.
My daughter-in-law loves my pans but says she is not ready to get pots and pans for Christmas. She will just wait and inherit mine!!1
