5 out of 5 stars sooo soft   July 9, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

these towels are soo soft. I read some other reviews and thought how could a towel really be that soft? but it is! I bought the bath sheet because I am 5'9 and like to have the towel big on me, but the sheet is really really big and could wrap around me twice. I love it, such a good deal too!

2 out of 5 stars Not as good as I expected   July 7, 2008

I was quite disappointed in these towels after I tried them. First, they don't really absorb as well as the hype led me to believe. And they do shed when you use them, even after washing them first. They are heavy and luxurious, but I bought them expecting they would be really absorbent. They are better than the soft, luxurious turkish cotton towels we have, but they aren't as absorbent as plain old fashioned cotton towels. Also, the price seems to keep changing from day to day. One day the Ginger bath towels were less than $9, and the next they were $25. What's up with that?

4 out of 5 stars Very soft towels   July 6, 2008

I like these towels a lot. They're very soft and they are absorbent. The only marginal complaint I have is that they shed a little bit.

5 out of 5 stars Very luxurious towel! Softest I ever had!   July 2, 2008

I bought this towel because of all the rave reviews I read about it. I have been in search for the softest, most absorbent towel, and at last, I have found it!

I like the oatmeal color because it almost has a shine to it and doesn't show any lint or anything else on it. It is seriously the SOFTEST towel. I have sensitive skin and don't like the scratchy towels.

I have also washed this towel many times and I wash it in warm water and dry it like normal with all of my other things and have never had a problem with it changing size, appearance, or texture, so I wouldn't worry about the care of the towel.

Just know that once you buy this one, you will not have any other towel and you WILL be giving it out as gifts because people will thank you for it!

But be careful! There are many types of Pinzon towels claiming to be soft. This is the SOFTEST one. I mistakenly didn't pay attention to the wording of the others and ordered more because I thought it was this Bamboo cotton one, but it wasn't! And they weren't nearly as soft so I have since gave them to my dogs to use when I give them a bath!

So buy this one, not the Hydra-cotton one, or the Luxury 820-Gram Cotton Bath Towel. They are all not soft, yet very absorbent.

3 out of 5 stars Pinzon bamboo cotton bath towel   July 2, 2008

Although I appreciate very much that bamboo, a very fast-growing plant, can be used for clothing and fabric, this particular towel was more like a bath sheet - too large for our tiny bathroom. Even though it's supposed to be absorbent, it slides on your body while you're drying yourself as though it were made of plastic. It also seems to absorb the A/C from the air vent and is really cold when you wrap it around yourself. That may or may not be a problem, but it's noticeable.
