Matfer Exopat works just as well as Silpat brand and is an affordable substitute for Silpat. I bake with it often and have not encountered any issues.

I am a physician and have an issue with baking anything on plastic, silicone or otherwise....we now are aware of the issue with heating in tupperware and are learning more...and you want to bake on silicone????
I'll take my health over the 5 extra minutes it takes to wash a cookie sheet. Wow.

We bought the same sheet several years ago, it has just been slowly wearing out. This is a great product for non stick cookie cooking.

This mat is truely the best. I'm notorious for making yummy foods but they are always a little on the overcooked side. This has definitely cured that problem! Last night I made choc. chip cookies that would have been burnt (I left them in 5 min past the buzzer) but they still were perfect! I highly recommend buying the 1/2 sheet pans to go with these as they are the perfect size.

I dont know how I ever survived without these! I have been wanting to try one out for awhile and finally snagged one a couple of weeks ago. They are not lying when they say that nothing sticks to them! My only problem is I cant figure out how to store them.
