5 out of 5 stars it really is that good   February 28, 2002

I am a very thrifty sort so I was not sure if I should be shelling out this much money to replace my parchement paper, but I have to admit that I do not regret my purchase in the slightest.

Using the smooth side of the exopat I achieved beautiful results for both breads and cookies. The cookies had an interesting bottom texure from the exopat which was different from parchment or greased sheet. this texture did not affect flavor at all.

The exopat really does handle burnt sugar and can be used to effectively make truffles and other chocolate confections.

You might want to occasionally wash the thing but it is very little maintenance.

if you are serious baker or even one who does not like to deal with mess than the exopat is well worth the money.

5 out of 5 stars tempted by all the positive reviews, I got one to try it BUT   February 21, 2002

there were no instructions (surfaces feel slightly different) - Hopefully someone will see this comment and tell me whether the printing on the edge faces up where the cookies/whatever will be or should the printing be down against the surface of the pan. Stupid, yes, so someone please take pity and tell me which end is up! Since everyone loves this thing I'm rating it a 5 in anticipation of years of enjoyment...

5 out of 5 stars Fabulous; I do not know what I did without it   February 17, 2002

This mat is easy to clean and nothing ever sticks to it. Everything I have baked on it,mostly cookies, have turned out perfect. I highly recommend this for baking.

5 out of 5 stars This thing is so cool!   January 18, 2002

Okay, I've had mine for about a week, so I can't attest to how LONG it works, but I can tell you it works! I like it better than the parchment paper I've been using - my cookies seem to brown nicer on this thing. I threw mine in the top rack of the dishwasher, but it hardly needed it - it wiped up easily with no problem. Nothing stuck to it. I made Heath Bar/ Chocolate Chunk Oatmeal cookies, and usually the Heath Bar will fuse to the pan, and will even stick to parchment paper. Came right off of this baby! I'm wondering how I lived so long without it, and I'm back for another one!

5 out of 5 stars WONDER MAT   January 3, 2002

I have never used anything so practical & easy to use in all the years I have been baking. It is a wonder liner, which I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys baking. I even tried a cake on it & was amazed. I used my spring form pan, took the bottom out and poured the cake batter directl onto the mat. Amazing.....Great resultsThank you.Rosemary
