I love this Saucepan March 11, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Although I am a prolific cook, I will never be mistaken for a "chef" and all that that implies. My usual cookware is utilitarian Wolfgang Puck and Ultrx. Nothing fancy. This saucepan is a step up for me and I bought it because of a recommendation in Cook's Illustrated magazine. I like its even heating properties, cool handle, tight-fitting lid and the fact that it is absolutely non-stick. Because it has no "hot spots", it is ideal for delicate sauces. And the price cannot be beaten. I may even buy more Calphalon. But not many more.
2 1/5 qt. saucepan March 9, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A great pan to cook with. It's well made and should last a long time. The handle does not transfer heat and is attached to the pan with heavy duty rivets. The lid is made of heat tolerant glass, which lets you easily monitor how things are cooking without having to disturb the process by removing the lid. The saucepan is a bit broader in circumference compared with other 2 1/2 pans, which I think actually helps in spreading the heat from the cook top to the food. This is a great product.

I'm very pleased with this purchase. This pan far surpasses my expectation, and I will be buying more. The workmanship is excellent. and the preformance when I used it, is very good. Really does not stick! And things cook beautifully.
Not Quite a Cook February 22, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm not a master chef by any means, but I wanted a pan that functioned well and I wasn't embarrassed to bring out when I had company. Perfect for me!

Pours exceptionally badly - makes messes all the time. Metal is thin and light. Inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.
