 Wow, How Handy Can it Get !! August 5, 2007
As most of you, I am a cupcake nut. Take them to every function. I did my research on what type of carrier would be best for me. Well, after checking out all the different brands on the market settled on the trusted wilton name and purchased this one. Boy, am I glad I did. This this is so convienient. Not only can I carry standard sized cupcakes, mini cupcakes but also sheet cakes. The dome is tall enough for me to fit a cake pan into and I have also used it for Jumbo muffins with the insert removed. It is sturdy and well made and looks nice too. Don't hesitate. Look no more, This Is it !!

I picked up one of these because sometimes I need to transport 9x13 sheet cakes to work. This caddy will accommodate the sheet cake, but the holder overall is about half an inch too wide to fit into my side-by-side fridge!
If they'd de-emphasized the curve on the short sides, all would have been fine. I'm not sure how many side-by-side fridges have the same measurements, but be forewarned about it if you make a lot of cakes that need to be refrigerated (I like to use whipped cream frosting on a lot of cakes).
The cupcake holder is kind of silly as it only has spots for 12 cupcakes. Since when does anyone ever need to transport only 12 cupcakes? I picked up a different holder at the local outlet mall that holds 27 *and* will fit in the fridge, but I'll have to take some measurements before I buy a replacement holder for my 9x13 cakes...

It's large, but the cupcakes have plenty of room and none of them fell over when I drove. It makes for a nice looking holder.

The plastic handles can be broken easily and are not strong enough to hold this heavy plastic and bulky holder. I would not recommend.

I have three different cupcake caddies, and this is by far the best. It has an easy and secure lock, wide and steady handle (I had an ugly cupcake spill in the school parking lot with another caddy), and plenty of head room for icing and decorations. The cupcakes are not as deep in their pockets as they are in the bake-n-carry caddies, but I've never had an incident. Also, this makes it easier to place them in there (and keep clean hands).
